Bricks Complete

There were tradies at work inside the house when I visited this afternoon (Saturday). This is the first time I have encountered them working on the house over the weekend. The brickwork is now complete. However, the fibre cement infills above the windows on the south side are yet to be done.

Bricks and Insulation

The bricklaying has now started and is due to be completed mid next week. Our bricks look very similar to those being used for the house behind ours. Great minds. Completion of the bricklaying will bring us up to lockup and another progress payment will be due. The insulation has now been installed and the plastering is due begin next week.

Solid Progress

The roof tiles have been laid. The sliding doors and some windows have been installed. The breather membrane has also been wrapped around most of the frame. The “rough in” by the electrician and plumber is complete. I have been advised that the bricklayer is due to commence this coming week.

Frame Complete

The frame is now complete and that means another progress payment. The pictures below are of the frame from inside the house.
